Good Friday!!!
The more I think of it, and the more I try to place myself in the context of this relationship.. the more I find out that I’m completely incapable of anything, save that which Christ has done. The week has not been easy and my futile attempts to salvage what I thought I had lost brings me back again to the cross. I have nothing. And no, you may think otherwise… but you must see it from the side of what I truly struggle to live for…. the fulfilment of my life.
Maybe the futility has become clearer, of so many things we chase…. happiness, security, peace, sustenance… from what we can lay our hands on. Where does it end, when it ends?
What can this world offer?
Justice without bad consequence? Freedom without cost? Unity with autonomy? Truth without weakness?
This place is temporary, and those who live here live temporary lives.
I invite those of you who are searching for something bigger and know for a fact you have nothing left to lose, when Christ has paid the heavy price for the fulfilment of our being.
Enter the grace of God.
