christmas choir

I am participating in the christmas choir again this year, and what a joy it is.
I remember when i was in secondary school, i was in the choir for one year. 4 years previous to that, I was either with the interact club or the leo club and they were made up of snobbish people and I didn’t fit in and was miserable. I’m glad I joined the choir. There were more girls than guys. If you had a good voice and knew how to keep pitch, you would make friends quickly. You would go on trips to sing at state choir competitions and get free food and be away from school.
But I think I actually did enjoy singing and being part of a choir, and how large amounts of people who sing really well can really come up with really good stuff, provided it’s arranged correctly. In layman’s terms, you sing parts that don’t sound very nice on its own, but makes a whole world of difference with the ranges (bass, tenor, alto and soprano) all put together.
Last year’s Christmas cantata was held at the Sunway Convention Center, but I don’t think we’ll be holding it there this year due to the increase in rental fees. So, we might hold it in our own sanctuary this year.
If you’re not doing anything around Christmas time, drop by to hear us sing. I can assure you we won’t dissapoint.
