Lesson:
In Malaysia, ‘sweetened creamer’ is synonymous to ‘sweetened condensed milk’, even though ‘condensed milk’ is nowhere to be found on the label. It is not, in fact, coffee cream, which is just commonly known as ‘creamer’ or ‘cream’ in the United States. Coffee cream is liquid and goes well with coffee because it has a high concentration of fat and is not diluted or weak like normal milk (which doesn’t go so well with coffee).
If you ask for cream from a Starbucks outlet in Malaysia, you will get blank stares.
Circumstance:
I made the mistake of buying sweetened creamer, thinking it was cream. Needless to say, I wasted my RM1.89. Coffee Jelly doesn’t go well with condensed milk poured all over it, in my opinion.
