Lesson:
Never stand near a short person trying to open an umbrella. No matter how far this person may stretch his hands out, the umbrella is still within range to do harm.
Circumstance:
Short person with back facing me, turned and hit my eye with the stub of umbrella. Pain lasted for a good hour. Good thing I still had vision after that.
On another occasion, short person next to me opened umbrella with arms extended high, which meant my face level… good thing I was able to avoid it.
