jazzy swift

I’ve been browsing around for cars recently, for the fun of it. In some ways, I’m preparing myself to get a 2nd car in the next year or so, probably after my wife and I move into the new place in October.

Anyway, I’ve been messing around between a Honda Jazz and the new Suzuki Swift. Last week I got to test a 2004 Honda Jazz VTEC 1.5L. It did really well as a people carrier, soaked up all the major and minor bumps and potholes, and handled itself very confidently on the road. Cornering was quite precise, a good set of features were around to play with, not to mention that space-y feeling all over the place.

The only thing wrong with it was that it wasn’t a driver’s car. I’ve done 45k kilometers with my trusty Kelisa and even though it feels like I’m on a dirt road every time I run on uneven surfaces, the ride is still fun as ever as a city car,… if even a bit scary at times.

So, I kept coming back to the Swift I tested last month with Jason, and that was a real fun (although short) ride. I’m just dying to try out the manual transmission. I bet that would be one sweet ride. It just grows on you, and it starts the moment you get in the front seat.

Anyway, I’m not in a position to buy a car just yet. I just prefer planning long term for a car that I’ll enjoy driving for at least 3 years. And I think I’ve found one.
