Apologies first to my parents who didn’t really enjoy eating sushi (and probably never will) as much as I do, but I did appreciate being together as a family.

And apologies to pixel, that I don’t seem to agree that Sakae’s sushi tastes better than Genki. The sushi was warm, as noted by my sister. And some of the sushi came with hard rice, prepared somewhat haphazardly. But generally the sushi was good. On par with Sushi King, maybe better.

I think I would have given a higher rating if there were more choices of sushi, though they do have some interesting ala carte dishes, not often found in other sushi franchises.

Anyway, the computer ordering thing is a novelty, that kind of dies out after awhile. It’s basically a web application, and it was giving weird javascript errors on some of the pages, which gave me the impression of shoddy workmanship. Some of the food were not updated with images, so that was bad enough…

All in all, it’s an ok place to hang out. It’s got nice decor. The place is a little stuffy, but you don’t notice it while you’re in there. It’s only after you step out and start smelling like teppanyaki a bit that you start wondering where all those fumes came from.

Give it a try…. maybe once.
