thieves broke into lagoon perdana
September 14th, 2005 by boon
Three apartments were broken into at Lagoon Perdana, Sunway, just this past weekend. One of the apartments belongs to a colleague of mine, who wasn’t there when the thieves broke in. Some of the stuff that were stolen were a digital SLR, a portable hard disk , a laptop, a minidisk player, and a handphone. I was told these guys were professionals… it didn’t matter what kind of lock was used to bolt the door. Apparently they cut through the door.
Making a police report doesn’t make a difference, apparently… unless you have insurance to claim for. Mainly because the police needs a proper case to enforce the law. It’s not like they’re going to go out on a manhunt to locate these things.
Should it be the policeman’s responsibility and role to inform the apartment owner if his or her unit has been broken into? My colleague’s neighbor is still unaware of the situation, though policemen have been to the premises already. My colleague does not know her neighbor.
God, please cleanse this land. Forgive us.
