first hand with technorati tags
February 18th, 2006 by boon
It’s funny that I’ve been so enamoured by the concept of social networking but I haven’t even tagged a single post that I’ve published on any of my blogs. I even signed up as a technorati member many moons ago, and made a claim on my blog, without ever venturing into tagging.
Not that social networking is entirely made up of tags, but if you’ve been around blogs lately, tags are everywhere. I guess I was lazy, so I didn’t start early. Secondly, I’m on blogger, and I thought since blogger didn’t have built in category management like WordPress or TypePad, I shouldn’t bother about organizing my posts. Plus, the blogger publishing interface doesn’t have a tagging facility, so I didn’t really think it was a big deal.
But tagging helps a lot on a personal blog like this. Especially when I blog about all sorts of random stuff, from cars to food to relationships to lyrics from some song I happen to have on repeat the whole day.
So, here’s my first post that comes with a Technorati tag (including a “boonchew” meblog tag
):
