the future, the future
With the apartment completion date seemingly approaches no end, I’ve decided to put some effort other things. The compensation allowed from late delivery is a small amount of 2 or 3 refrigerators, which is a nice supplement to our measly apartment savings. I’ll somehow need to budget ahead of time, but argh I’m an engineer.
It just sucks that there’s not much driving entrepreneurship in schools and the common wage earner. There’s probably a huge mountain of resources this land affords me to tap from, and I’m only seeing the tip of the iceberg. It won’t hurt to blame the lack of education and infrastructure in this country, but that’s really not the issue here.
Just like I was piecing together web frameworks and best practices for enterprise applications, I’m pushing myself to comprehend the scale and function of today’s economics and how one ringgit can be multiplied through a series of transactions. And I’ll do it without books and seminars, thank you.
Thank God that I’m married to a financial analyst. I’m slowly being exposed to financial planning and global investments. At the same time, being a skilled labourer, my current reflections on innovation, quality, production and yield show how far I am from the mark. There is a way to earn my keep apart from the lazy salary, I guess I just need to work smartly around it.
