I’ve been neglecting my blog for so long, but I’ve been really busy moving in! We’re at our new place now in Subang, and the pic you see here is actually a glorified view from one of the apartment units (not mine).

After awhile you get used to the fact that there’s a lake outside the window. I’m more interested in sprucing up the interior!

Last night my wife and I were at IKEA on a mad dash to get GORM shelves and the EDEFORS dining table and the EKTORP 2-seater sofa. There are still so many other things to complete, like the curtains and some of the lighting, but that’ll have to wait.

On Sunday, my parents, sister and some relatives came over and we set up the carpet, coffee table, and an ottoman. I set-up a floor lamp too, which does add ambience to the place. I’m quite happy with my purchases. The wooly super shaggy carpet rocks!

On the downside, moving into a new place is really tiring. There’s just so much dust from the masonry that it’s impossible to get rid of it in a day (or a month). My eczema doesn’t get along well with it, and the room feels dry albeit the humid weather.

I’ve been getting into more housecleaning and grocery shopping, and I’m thinking forward to my next trip to Giant or Carrefour or Tesco… it’s a change, but I’m kind of enjoying it.

Anyway, tonight I’m going to shop for more stuff we need and consume the Jusco vouchers that we’ve been holding on to for so long.

Wallpapers next!
