Celebrations are a result of ideas
I’ve always loved ideas.
Ever since I was young, I always wanted to be a scientist. In fact, I thought scientists were so cool that I assumed everyone wanted to be one.
Of course, I grew up and found out that the job adverts never hired “scientists” in the sense of the word. They usually hired people like managers or clerks or lawyers or engineers.
Things were simple for me - I always wanted the job that could give me opportunities to create ideas. So, naturally I wanted to play with technology, simply because you always had to use ideas to translate technology into a real product. (Actually, lawyers operate on a somewhat similar plane, but we won’t go there)
I was astonished to find that most people are devoid of ideas in their day to day jobs. They lack the drive to see opportunities to create fun and exciting new products and services for customers, and would mostly translate their creations as an output tainted with drudgery and customer-isolation.
I don’t know why, but I’ve always thought customers are sort of like the audience of a movie who celebrates with the producer, even though they may not have met or known each other.
No one should ever run out of ideas. It should always be written down. It should always be experimented with. It should always be communicated. It should always be relevant.
Once you’re through with that, it’s time to infect someone with inspiration to create more ideas.
And on it goes.
