TMNT, after a long while

I forgot to mentioned that I watched TMNT the other day with LL. Why is this such a big deal? It’s because I very rarely watch movies, let alone TV.
The trick for me to enjoy a movie is to believe that I have absolutely no idea how good or bad it is, and just go in blindly and watch it for pure entertainments’ sake.
Of course, that’s what everyone does naturally, except me.
I have an odd predisposition about the way movies affect people, and I guard myself from over-commitment of my emotional and intellectual energy when I watch a show.
But with TMNT, I’m glad to say that I didn’t really feel threatened. In fact, the storyline was so dumbed down, it might have disturbed someone else that I was actually enjoying the campy plot and predictable scenes.
What do you expect? It’s a kids’ movie.
But I just know I deserve to be put on a stake if I don’t watch Spidey 3, or The Transformers. It’s purely a conspiracy against 18-to-24-year-olds who grew up with the stuff a decade ago. They say that “young adults are the movie industry’s best customers”, so you just have to know the right formula.
If they’ll screen “Barney’s Day Out” in 2020, you know who to watch out for.
