Letters from the Equator

Boon’s view from here

UK mid-week

I’m sitting at a dining table at the B&B I checked into, waiting for my breakfast - eggs benedict. I’ve got a few more days left until I return home. I’ve got a few more things left to do, a few more people to see, a few more things to buy.

The trip has been an eye opener, first from the perspective of getting to know a colleague better, learning to kick off a project on my own, and in general, finding my own ground.

I’ve been missing home as well, and I’ve got things lined up for me the moment I touch down - time with relatives, time with my wife, the apartment, and a general reorganization of my life.

I’m not quite sick of british food yet. In fact, the only food apart from western meals was sushi.

The weather is really fine. It has been raining, though, at certain parts of the day. I met up with old friends the weekend past, and it was good to catch up.

The timing is just right, to get everything done, pack up, and go home. I’ll post more when I get back.
