I found this surprising - a clickwheel that was installed 90 degrees off its intended position. This is a 80gb ipod classic. The clickwheel works as was intended (the << button operates the menu function, etc.), just that the placement was incorrect.
I found it at a Apple reseller somewhere recently. The guy made me promise not to divulge details.
The unit is going back to Apple for refurbishment.
