Letters from the Equator

We have found an apartment for a fairly good price in Islington, complete with a garden patio, separate kitchen and bathroom, ample room, with a landlord who is just a gem. We really couldn’t have asked for a better deal. At the same time, the letting agents at Relocate-Me were such great help and friendly people we were starting to pinch ourselves about the bad sides of London rental living.

We are heading to Ikea (naturally) this Sunday to get some homey stuff to make the place a bit more livable, although it holds up pretty well by itself at the moment with a new coat of paint and just-installed fittings. I think LL is really excited because we get to do it up and make it cosy.

It’s a bit of a walk to the tube, about 10 minutes, but we just found a shortcut today that might shorten that down by a minute or so. Still, the temperature is dropping really fast these days and I’m thinking gloves and skullcaps are in order right about now. LL used her scarf to turn into a ninja to keep herself warm.
