This Contest Smells Fishy

A friend of mine from Malaysia visited London a few months ago to be with her boyfriend who’s studying at a design school here. She had a good time, and she went back and found out about this photo contest that was being sponsored by Malaysia Airlines and The Star, a Malaysian newspaper.
She submitted her photo and was one of the lucky winners of 2 free tickets to London - so she’s actually back here visiting for the 2nd time.
The funny thing is - she actually won by unknowingly “exploiting” a loophole in the system - the contest required submitters to send in photos that were relevant to the theme, “What’s New UK”.
Obviously, only folks who have ever been to the UK would have photos of the UK. This contest was almost a no-brainer, I feel - and mostly an attempt for government-backed companies to gain popularity in front of the Malaysian public - especially the younger generation who are increasingly wary of corrupt government schemes.
How else would you explain the link to www.facebook.com/MAStravel on the contest website?
