Bombs Explode in Bangkok — Locations
Originally uploaded by newleypurnell.

Why do I end up going to places where bombings have taken or will be taking place?
Firstly, I was at the World Trade Towers in New York in summer of 2001, and when I got back to Kansas, the catastrophe of 9-11 happened. Then, the Bali bombings [...]

Happy Birthday to 2007 and to great things for us this year!

The apartment we bought in Damansara Perdana

The story is that MKLand built a high-density apartment thing called Flora Damansara, and my wife and I bought corner lot which is bigger and costs more. Together with a few hundred other buyers, we were totally screwed upside down by MKLand, and we are having a fun time now trying to get 100% of [...]

I mentioned recently that I’ve finally picked up the keys to our apartment, the dearly long-awaited home-to-be for my wife and I. We’ve been looking forward to the community, to the surroundings (IKEA!), to the loftiness of the 21st floor, and dreaming about what to do with [...]

The Ferns Album is REALLY GOOD!!!!

Originally uploaded by -gadgetgirl-.

Thank you Warren for finishing the Ferns debut album.
The CD cover is wonderfully designed with honest-to-goodness ASTROTURF (you can feel it, baby), thanks to Dave’s packaging wizardry.
The extra effort into polishing the recording, layers, overall aural choreography HAS PAID OFF!!!! And well before 2007.
It’s THAT GOOD, dang it!
Wheee…… *jumps*
Favourite trackz so far [...]

Walking away from a promotion

Contemplando (Contemplating)

I interviewed for a higher position recently in my department. The post is actually quite a big jump, since it involves managing a team.
Only two people were shortlisted for this interview, and the other guy was my colleague whom I work closely with. The news came to the both of [...]
