Taking myself seriously
I just got back from Port Dickson over the weekend. We were at a cell group camp, and the theme was discussing families, and it was good, and I got a bit of that nap time I wanted, though I think I would really love 24 hours of non-stop sleep.
Things are really picking up at [...]

I’ll be gone for about 3 days for a project that’s approaching a specific deadline. I’m there to fast track some of the work that’s going on, and it’s strange that I’m the one who’s initiating this work trip. I always wondered when I’d get to that point in [...]
Go Jayhawks! KU 107, Niagara 67
Just wanted to celebrate Kansas’ farewell to a 2-year losing streak on the first attempt at the NCAA national title. Next up - Kentucky. This one will not be easy, but I’m rooting for my team.

I just got back from an arduous day, and I’m glad I have a home to come to. I’m glad I’ve an Ektorp sofa. I’m glad that my wife loves hugs. I’m glad I have a heavenly bed.
My weekends are usually packed. And I don’t have much to look forward [...]

I’ll try to depart from my commonly existential postings.
Last week, I don’t remember what happened, except a few things. For one, I sent my bicycle for servicing on Friday, because I intend to pick up the hobby with some friends of mine. The bike is more than 10 years old, but [...]

If only my lawn was emo then it would cut itself

I was meant for the wild open roads of Kentucky or Illinois. Not that I’ve really really been there.
A decade ago I turned an emo kid, just as I was leaving Lawrence, for crying out loud. And I carry with me [...]

I chance met an old friend at a chinese restaurant the other day. His wife is six months’ pregnant, and I can see the joy in their eyes as they await the arrival of their newborn child.
We were chatting over MSN earlier about “our turn”, which is quite a common topic of [...]
